FEED GWINNETT PROJECT

Feed Gwinnett was a county-wide food drive held in April 2016 where over 40 young volunteers from J-FORCE united to collect and distribute food to families facing food insecurity across Gwinnett County.

This initiative was born from a recognition of the urgent need to support vulnerable communities struggling to secure regular meals. With generous support from local businesses and community members, thousands of pounds of food were gathered and distributed.

What made this project particularly impactful was the active involvement of youth volunteers who didn’t just participate in collection but gained a deeper understanding of local food insecurity issues. This experience fostered compassion, responsibility, and a commitment to ongoing community service.

Feed Gwinnett showed that youth-led initiatives can drive real change. With passion, creativity, and energy, young people can tackle pressing challenges in their communities. Inspired by this success, we continue to organize similar programs that harness the power of youth service.
